Posted by Sinwars on 2013/3/23 22:30:00 (5470 reads)

Hello and welcome to another news letter with Sin. I know this is a day early but i've got one hell of a busy day on Sunday. So lets get this started.

MEMBER NEWS
Theres no new members this week but watch this space. We apologize for any delay however this is due to the upcoming council election.

Road Rash designer is debating a kickstarter revival
If you are a retro Sega fan in the slightest, then you will definitely remember the awesome Road Rash series. These games were Twisted Metal before Twisted Metal. For those new to this franchise it was a simple premise: race your motorcycle to the finish line and take home first place no matter the consequences. Take down your opponents with clubs, chains, and nunchakus while avoiding the police and oncoming traffic. This was the simple joy that compiled Road Rash. Dan Geisler designed the first 3 Road Rash games on for the Sega Genesis, and recently replied to a fan request on Reddit, who asked why the franchise has been dormant for so long.

Counter Strike: Global Offensive

CS:GO has had another major update. Some of these have been cosmetic such as the main menu has been revamped but biggest of all is a mode update. The hostage maps have had an overhaul to try and balance them out a bit. You no longer have 4 hostages to rescuse, its now only 2, but as you can see from the picture you better get bench pressing. Also included
Added new Hostage Rescue map cs_militia
- Update Hostage Rescue Mode rules
- Hostage positions are randomly assigned at the beginning of the match. The hostages will start at these positions for the entire match.
- Hostages are now carried by CTs instead of following behind.
Steam overlay game details will now correctly show players score.
- Fixed special characters of player name not correctly displaying in some UI elements.

SOMETHING DIFFERENT

For the rest of this newsletter i thought id try and educate some of you (pmsl the thought). So heres some history that you may not know.On this day (24 March)
1603 - Scottish king James VI becomes King James I of England
1944 - 811 British bombers attack Berlin
1944 - In occupied Rome, Nazis execute more than 300 civilians
1958 - Elvis Presley joins the army (serial number 53310761)

An Yanshi, 41
(ABOVE) has came up with the worlds most expensive tea, However, It's not just the extortionate price tag of the world's most expensive tea that might leave a bitter taste. The Chinese entrepreneur has revealed that panda poo is the key ingredient to a new luxury brew. An Yanshi bought 11 tons of excrement from a panda breeding centre in Sichuan province in south-west China. He then uses it to grow tea leaves that costs a staggering £22,000 per pound. The same amount of Tetley tea leaves would costs around £3.
He is now hoping to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records for developing the most expensive tea.

I'm sure it has to taste better than this

Our v
ery own Woody has been going all retro on us and provided this, I'm sure now we'll see who all the old wolfs really are.
