Clan Council

Yo Yo Yo! Whats happenin' my peeps? Well I will tell ya whats been happenin' in this weeks newsletter. Thats right, this is the WooDmiester again, doin' what I get paid the big bucks for... bringin' in the news from all sorts of area's from around the globe and even some that deals with us here in the WPC. This week we will learn how NOT to eat french fries, the proper way to party with Katt, and try and find out how many stairs Sendo fell down, bumping his head to make him actually think I was in my 40's. So come on in, let the reading begin!

Cookeville, Tennesse

Restaurant staff at the Hardee's on Hickory Avenue in Cookeville, TN, called police after Bratten Hale Cook III, 32, fell asleep with his face planted in a plate of french fries and ketchup.
Workers said Cook been passed out for about an hour.

Police said when they woke up Cook, he was so drunk he started eating his fries and didn't acknowledge the officers. Officers took Cook outside the restaurant and charged him with public intoxication.
Cook received even more charges after police searched him and found marijuana and prescription pills in his pockets.
Someone decided to celebrate St. Patty day a lil early, but damn he is doing it right!

Bradford, England

A man dressed as Batman has brought a suspected burglar into a police station in northern England.
West Yorkshire Police said Monday that they do not know the identity of the man who appeared in "a full Batman outfit" and turned in a 27-year-old suspect to police in Bradford, England.
CCTV images released by police show a caped crusader _ fully clad with the comic hero's boots, gloves and logo across his chest _ standing alongside a man in a red hooded sweatshirt.

Police said the handover occurred on February 25 and the suspect will appear in court on March 8 charged with handling stolen goods and fraud-related offenses.
I know the story is a little old, but its still funny....nananananananana BATMAN!

...its not all doom and gloom...

Los Angeles, California

Last week, Instagram users banded together to bring a lost stuffed bunny back to a Los Angeles boy named Max.
On Wednesday afternoon, filmmaker Jason Ho decided to take a walk along the Venice Canals in Los Angeles, right next to little Max's neighborhood.
Ho is a consummate photographer. "I prefer pictures to words and am on Instagram more than any other social media," he wrote on his personal blog.
A self-described toy collector, he's drawn to childhood remnants and anything invoking memories and nostalgia. The only thing he Instagramed on his walk was a picture of lonely bunny lying on the pavement.

Several hours later, Ho noticed that he'd been tagged in a post about a lost brown bunny by an unknown Instagram user.

"This sketch inspired another Instagram user to do a search... [and] they were able to find the photo and my username," Ho wrote on his blog. Another user connected Ho to Max's parents.
He sent the family an approximate map of where he'd come across the bunny, and the next day, Ho was tagged in another, happier post.

The stuffed toy was a gift from Max's grandmother, who recently passed away. This, according to Ho, "made it a double-happy ending."
Amazing isnt it? I bet you that kid is sooo happy right now. :)
...Moving on...

Saint Patrick's Day is now associated with everything Irish, from the colour green to shamrocks, good luck to Guinness! However the color of Saint Patrick is blue!!
However, its true meaning is as a time-honoured day for spiritual regeneration and offering prayers for missionaries worldwide.
St Patrick's day is always celebrated on the 17th March. Many believe St Patrick died on this day. The day is a religious holiday, so along with many businesses closing for the day (with the exception being restaurants and pubs), many Irish people attend mass.

In many cities and towns, all over the world, with an Irish population, St. Patrick's Day is a day to party! The people of Ireland often attend church in the morning and then get together and party in the afternoon, unless of course you celebrate early with a bowl of Cereal and Baileys lol. So again, Happy St. Pattys Day to everyone!

It seems our one and only Whisky actually left his house again! He set out on a quest to party like a rockstar with another WPC member, Katt! There is video evidence of him actually getting down with the youngins and showing them how its done....but first, a picture of Katt and Whisky :)

...and then this...

Now if only we could have gotten some of the pictures when he was playing in the bounce house, LOL.

In other member news, it seems like some of the young ones got together to do a lil Podcast. What the hell they were all smoking, we dont know, especially Sendo (I am not in my 40's, fooker). Anyway, I have to put in a disclaimer on this one, for it is definatly NSFW. So enjoy at your own risk...

Sendo wanted me to add the fact that he has his own Role Playing Website now for anybody that is into the Anime series Bleach. His website is at :
http://z13.invisionfree.com/Bleach_Forged_Past/

Another member of ours, Blade as we all call him, just had his birthday on friday. Congrats on turning whatever the hell it was your age is now lol. On top of that, he just recently got to do a gig, spinning his first live set of Hardstyle down at one of his local underground clubs. We have some pictures, and he even recorded his set. So ill just go ahead and post that now. :)

...and now for his mix...

Xenomorph has been a busy body too. Not only is he building Hemi's ultimate gaming machine, so Hemi can finally play Hello Kitty Island Adventure the proper way, but he is also been helping his bro build the badass DJ room. If you guys want to check out all the project progression, I just happen to have those links too!

So guess what!?!? Aliens: Colonial Marines for the PC is getting a huge update pretty freakin' soon! Thanks to Hemi, this is a direct quote from Gearbox:

“The PC update is currently in the final stages of testing and expected to roll out within the next week.
This update contains the changes that were in the recent update for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, along with some additional changes that will be part of future updates for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. This update also includes several PC-specific changes, notably: improved texture resolution, various visual improvements, the addition of a mouse smoothing option, and some fixes for PC-only crashes.
As this update is rather large, those players with limited or bandwidth-capped access may want modify their auto-update settings by right-clicking Aliens: Colonial Marines in their Steam Library, choosing Properties and selecting the Updates tab. Update notes will be posted as they become available.”

So helllllllz yeah! Finally! I just hope they fixed the shit controls for the Aliens.....

Cant play Sim City cause of the DRM thing? Guess again! A modder has figured out how to play without even being online! So if you are having issues, know that it is possible, as ill post a small video that you can indeed do so, even tho its not really explained how...

The council elections are just around the corner. The current council will decide on the requirements for putting your names down as potential canidates. This last council has had a lot of problems with people kinda slacking off, and quitting n such. So you can kind of guarentee that we will be looking for dedicated, trustworthy and active people this time around. This doesnt mean you have to live on the site or in TS 24/7, but we are definatly looking for people that are more frequent with posting and active in general with us all.
So be prepared for an upcoming announcement on how we are gonna handle things this time around.

Well thats it for me this week, as I am now leaving you with this....Be safe out there today, dont drink and drive, and make some noise! (I know I will)

 Re: Newsletter 154
Brilliant news letter, and very happy for whisky and katt getting together for some drinks.

Just goes to show what a site like this is capable of in terms of bringing two complete strangers in a room together!

Watch this space for another UK meeting
