Clan Council : Newsletter 139

Ladies and Gentlemen, this weeks newsletter is filled with action packed news of what we have been doing for the past week! (Go Figure). Everything from Benjamin learning how to drive, Aliens popping out of Justin Beibers bad haircut, and even how cute Sendo sounds when he flirts with his hamster. So come along for another fun filled adventure with me, your host...the WooDmeister!
Oh what a fun week this has been, w00t! With lots of people doing lots of things in the world. For instance, someone actually made a Christmas tree that is worth 4.2 million dollars. This tree somewhere in Tokyo made of 88 pounds of solid gold, also rotates and has Disney characters all over it. W0000! If only I had that kind of money to spend on a tree....well, I dont think id spend it on a tree. Oh well, each to their own haha.
Another story involves the first person I believe in Chicago with a biotic leg to climb a 103 floor skyscrapper. Now when I say bionic, I mean it actually works from his mind, not like a peg leg. Judgement day is just around the corner, just saying...Ok so anyway...lets get on with some Clan News, shall we?
Holy Cow, almost 2 years in the making (with my supervision of course) and the Aliens Mod is finally here! Thats right, Killing Floor finally has a badass mod that people can kick the living hell out of Aliens all day long, either that or get your own ass handed to you by them like I did. Everything from the Facehugger to the Queen of Mean herself, youll be more challenged then most of the people on the X-factor. The people to credit for this wonderful mod is as follows: Hemi, Whisky, Braindead and Marco with the mod part of the game, and the mappers are Fei, HaTeMe, and MrRoBoT. So give it up to these skilled people for they know what they have done (dun dun duuuun)! But again, I want to stress how much they appreciated all the people that helped test for bugs and whatnot (haha I made a funny). Oh and just a friendly reminder from the makers of this fine mod....make sure you bring some friends. =-)
Also I want to remind people that Killing Floor SHOULD have an Christmas event coming soon, but there are no confirmed dates to my knowledge. But of course who the hell cares, we have Aliens now!
Anyway, moving on.....

This simply is the description of what is to come in Guild Wars 2 for their holiday event. The event is to take place from the 14th of this month, till the 3rd of January. For those that still play the game, im sure they will give out all sorts of fun stuff for us to screw around with. Me personally, have to get back into the game cause ive been slacking a bit lol. But yes, do check it out on the 14th and lets see what kind of trouble we can get into.
For those that are interested, B-2 and Buzz have found a perfect way for us all to play Battlefield 1942 for FREE! Thats right, free folks...you heard it right here. So there is this discussion about members of the Clan wanting to host their own servers in the name of WPC. Some of you guys want to promote in your own way and its much appreciated. However our Server Admins Buzz, B-2 and LordDean are the main heads in that department and it is required for you to talk to them about it before you start hosting a server of your own with the WPC name all over it. I have some of the notes from the conversation that give you an idea of what they want to see for dedicated servers. These are as follows from Buzz himself:
I see that a few of you are considering Hosting servers for the WPC .
Meeting the Specs...
1] Good connection- CABLE-T1 or T3 - Upload of at the Very LEAST 1.5MB depending on the game.
2] Static IP that has no port Filtering-if its Dynamic then it will usually change within few months/try for the Static and it makes GameTracking stats impossible ad it would change the stats every time IP changes.
3] Cables -at least cat 5E for good transmission from SERVER to Devices[modems/routers/etc]
4] Good switch/Router WITH NO RESTRICTIONS.
5] Memory is important should be at least 4GIG of matched duel or tri chanel ram.
6] Provider must allow you to be able to Host game -so guys just ask them -some providers have a cap on there upload/download and if you reach that limit it can disable your connection for a day or so or until u give them a call. Cant have that happen when gamers a relying on your service on a daily basics.
7] Make sure theres nothing but the server-s you are running on that system and theres no POWER settings that may interupt the server in mid game .NO AUTO WINDOWS UPDATE.
8] Be prepaired to run this system 24/7 for months at a time so system should be NEW and have a good powersupply.
9] Has to be a dedicated system that means no gaming or anything other then Hosting that game should be done on that system. A MUST!
10] Must be able to get to your server in case of crashes within hours not a day or 2 - a server down for a day will loose its clientel and they will go elsewere -best to have a back up plan like another system with the same game files loaded to put in its place. That goes for Routers as well.

But as you can see, they mean serious business when it comes to hosting for the WPC. If you are wanting to host your own server for Hello Kitty Island Adventure, talk to them about these things first, cause they know what they are doing. =-)
Sadly this week our beloved HalfDemon has stepped down from the council. As we all know, real life can conflict with us being gamers and stuff so its understandable. On behalf of us all HalfDemon, I applaud you being an awesome person and it was an honor having you onboard when you were. Dont worry tho folks, he is still in the clan and will be around for a long time =-)
But with that, it also means we dont have any new members this week until the council gets things sorted out a bit with this all. For all the people that have applied, please be patient and above all be active in both the forums and possibly TeamSpeak as it may be your fate we decide (wink wink) 
Anyway I think thats all from me this week seeing as tho im all out of sour straws yet again, Dammit. Maybe next paycheck I should just stockpile that stuff lol
Remember, there is always a wolf getting eaten by an Alien, or facehugged or ....ow that hurts.
